Gingko Biloba

Archaeologists have found specimens of Gingko Biloba dating back 270 million years!

Gingko trees can live more than 2,000 years and are predominantly found in Eastern China, although they are now also grown in temperate climates in other parts of the world.

Benefits

The plant’s leaves, fruits, and seeds are often used in traditional herbal remedies for treating memory issues, dementia, headaches, vertigo and even tinnitus. In addition, it has also earned a reputation for assisting with sexual performance issues.

Gingko Biloba is considered a general tonic, and it has also been known to be used for depression, anxiety, high cholesterol, fatigue, high blood pressure, PMS, allergies, and eye conditions such as glaucoma.

Well you may be wondering, why does it work? The active ingredient in Gingko Includes flavanols, a type of antioxidant that assists the body in warding off disease and may help to protect neurons.

Promising research into this plant is showing that it may also help to protect against the loss of eyesight amongst diabetics where vision loss is at risk.

Another interesting area is showing findings for its use-case in easing symptoms such as anxiety and impulsiveness.

Herbs can help you to improve your health in a natural way. However, before using any herbal remedies we would highly recommend consulting with a professional before attempting anything yourself.
