Continuing in a two-part series of posts. In this article we will further have a look at practical ways to improve the immune system through a healthy lifestyle.
The Key To Health Is Consistency
Sleep
Sleep is a time for the body to repair and nourish itself. Insufficient sleep and sleeping at the wrong time will weaken the immune system and increase the risk of infection. We should live in time with, and acting according to the sun. When the sun comes out, our body should be active; when the moon is out, our body should be rest. The best time to fall asleep is before 11pm. #sleep
Move
Regular and proper exercise can reduce cortisol, increase the immune system cell activities, and release polyphenols in the brain. Through regular excercise we can improve our general mood and prevent pathogens from invading our body. The recommended time of excerise is between 30-45 mins daily. #excercise
Acupressure
The "Yintang" acupoint on the lung meridian is very effective for colds, cough, asthma, and sore throat. It is especially suitable for the current weather conditions. Press 15-20 seconds each time, 3-4 times a day. #acupoint
Think
Be aware that long-term stress and negative emotions can suppress your immune system. The most important thing is to protect yourself and relax your mind. In Traditional Chinese Medicine it is suggested that you can massage the "Taiyuan" acupoint to calm your mind.
All the recommendations above should only be taken as reference. If you have symptoms of fever, or cough, please see your doctor immediately. #acupoint
